Oh no, not Titanic :S

I've spoken - at most - eleven words with my mother over the past few days. She just randomly storms into my room screaming at me for leaving my plate on the table. I tell her to stop screaming at me and that I forgot and I'd do it in a second but no, she just has to get her point across that she is in fact "not" screaming at me. This carried on for a few minutes and at the end of it she'd thrown various possessions of mine (including my speakers) at my wall. And to top that off, she's watching Titanic now - this can't be good.

Today, my friend and I participated in some research thing for the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). I was - of course - half and hour late, waking up only when my friend called me (which was at the time we were supposed to begin). Against all odds, I managed to get out the door within ten minutes. However, the stupid tram decided to be late, delaying (and increasing) my impending embarrassment. Luckily, being as cool as I am, I caught up to where my friend and we were able to finish at the same time. In return, we were presented with a $30 JB Hi-Fi gift voucher each. I was *this* close to buying a new printer/SYG album + ipod screen cover/Bang Gang 12s compilation but decided to do some more research first.

Anywhoo.

Brooke and I are supposed to have this magical day tomorrow where we rise (like a loaf of Bread [poorly executed/placed pun intended]) super early and head to the bakery to grab us some steaming hot bread. The thing is, now that I've only got a few hours before I have to wake up, this whole plan is starting to lose its appeal.

But wait! There's more!

We also have plans to cook a feast fit for kings. What we're cooking - we have no idea, but, rest assured whatever we end up making will be insanely delightful.

Back when we had colossal ideas for Band-Aid, my friend suggested we ask Trial Kennedy to play for us since most of the band's members are really good friends with his sister. Of course, that never happened and Band-Aid began to deflate. But, at the end of it all, I'd discovered one more band that I'll probably love for a while before not listening to them for a while until I stumble across them again and listen to them for a few weeks at which point I'll decide I'm bored of them because I've heard them to much and so on..
Trial Kennedy - Sonic Affair

While trying to convert some girl to the wonderful world of good music, I was told that one of the reasons she listens to that crap (sorry but it is) is because she can sing it (I presume she means that they're often female) - this got me thinking. I used to be really into bands with female vocalists and so I decided to go digging through some memories only to find a bit more than I intended. As a result, I ended up sleeping a bit later than intended and Brooke was forced to wait a bit as I struggled to ready myself in the morning.

Here's a list of bands with female vocalists that will rock your socks off.
