Hey Fellas, Wanna Score Some Ecstasy?

Chapel street in the evening can be a bit unnerving, even when you're with a friend or two. All the shady looking characters walking around, heads down, cigarette in one hand, the other buried in the deep recesses of their pocket. Couple that with a drugged-out demeanour and a crazy voice and you have the ultimate street creep. You can imagine why I was kind of startled when he came up to me and asked "Hey fellas, wanna score some ecstasy?"
Hmm.....

Quick note, City Escape are playing with Kisschasy on October 11. That's like two weeks from now so get tickets! Might even see you there. (Sorry U18s only)
City Escape - Myspace

Big City Kids just might be responsible for my reviving electropop addiction. Energetic dance beats complemented by melodious vocals and dirty guitar riffs and lively synth backings yadad not interested. One word - catchy. Pew pew...
Big City Kids - Cops in the Carpool Lane

I've got no idea where I found this one but it felt kinda suitable for the mood of the post...
Citadel - Golden Islands (Charlie Fanclub Remix)

Enjoy,
Butters.

(No, the picture is not in any way relevant)
Btw, there are now three songs in the post below.

It Goes Without Saying

I'm planning on performing this little gem for my Year 10 solo performance due to the relatively easy piano accompaniment, not to mention that it has been one of my all time favourite songs... ever.
Mayday Parade - Miserable At Best

Next up is "Miss You" which is straight off Between The Trees' latest album, "Spain". Very simple straight-forward lyrics but a great song nonetheless.
Between The Trees - Miss You

(It's the magic number)
Scary Kids Scaring Kids - Goes Without Saying

(Five points for Gryffindor if you got it)

Call Me Bemis

A few weeks ago I took a quiz called the 'Myers-Briggs Personality Test' which is like some psychological profiling thing. Upon receiving my results, I was actually shocked at how accurately it had pinned me down. And not only that, it also made me feel a lot more comfortable with who and why I am. So intrigued by all this, I actually spent the next few days just reading up on the test and psychology things. Amazing stuff.

Here's the test (do it do it do it) http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
I got INTJ - Mastermind (hehe)
Post your results in the comments section of this post :)
but.
yahh.

Despite all the negative publicity concerning Lady Gaga, (and her alleged penis (which I believe does not exist since apparently she was in fact once a stripper..?)) I greatly enjoy covers of her songs. Covers such as the one below. Why? Because They're always so catchy!
When "Poker Face" came out I didn't stop listening to it for a week so you can imagine how I jumped when I first heard this.

Next up, another cover! A pretty weird cover by Say Anything that appeared on "Punk Goes Crunk". Now, I haven't heard the original but in my opinion Bemis has done an stellar job with this little rap.

Say Anything - Baby, I Got Your Money

Anywhoo... I'm out to lunch tomorrow with my Dad whom I haven't seen in four months. Might go catch up with a mate, we'll see (that's if I even make it out of bed in the morning).
Woo.

Butters.

Oh yeah, Lady Gaga is kinda hot too.

Night Time Won't Hold Me In Your Arms Again

I'm finding myself in a very odd position at the moment. Being the holidays and all, you'd think that I'd be out and about every day but to tell the truth, I haven't showered or left the house since Monday (today's Wednesday). No, I've done nothing but mope around at home all day for three days. It's almost as if I've lost interest in everything, I'm barely even blogging! What makes it worse is that Bread doesn't come back until Monday and that's when my Lacrosse tournament starts. Hmmmm.... Not to mention my holiday homework which I haven't even begun. GAHHH.

My one escape over the past few days of dismal holidaying? Music of course... And what better to emphasise my losing track of time than some good ol' Phoenix.

Phoenix - Long Distance Call
Phoenix - Run Run Run

Fuq-N-Es-Kay

Screw Brokencyde and Hollywood Undead, Scene Kidz are the real crunk kings. None of that "ridin' on da dubz" or "ta-ta-ta-TOTALLY DUDE" shit, only humorous, clever and catchy lyrics reign supreme on SK's latest album "Fuq-N-Es-Kay". The band's screamer, Spanky, also has his own solo project called Dot Dot Curve :) as well as a two-piece with fellow band member, Jayreck, called SnapKracklepop.

Scene Kidz - Dinosaur X
Scene Kidz - Hater Monkeys

It's Getting Kind Of Creepy

Originally intended to be joke, this song has got to be one of the catchiest tunes I've heard in a while.

Just right click on the link and press the "save target as" or "save link as" or "download" or whatever it is you must do.

Ideally, when I grow up, I want to be in a successful band. Realistically, I'll probably end up being Ironman.

New posts coming soon, when I can be bothered.

BAHAHAHAHAHA

I've spent about three hours tonight trawling "FAIL Blog" absolutely laughing my nuts off. Here's my favourite video, absolutely classic.

...And Then There Was More

SUP CUZZ! (Note from Butters: Bread's a New Zealander now, so get used to this odd outbursts)
Bread here. Just got through a week at my new school. It went pretty swell.
The first day involved watching a smashing young fellow getting kicked in the genitalia by a young lady who got rather infuriated by this young fellow's smirk remark's to her. Let's just say it looked pretty painful, for he was on the ground for about 10 minutes, and I swear I saw him cry.
I'd have to say that was the highlight of my first week at school. Other then that, thing's went just smoothly.

ANYWHOO, for those who just visit the blog for the music, I shall satisfy your thirst
First up, we have some talented young lad's that are known as 'Her Words Kill'.
Whilst doing some light research on these lad's, I was sad to see that they have broken up!
Oh well. Here you go cuzzin's-

Her Words Kill - Watch Out Vegas; I'm A Show Stopper

Her Words Kill - Love on the Catwalk

Ohh, and another thingg,
Butter's showed me this blog that i've been on daily ever since. It's basically just electro and really bouncy, chilled stuff. I do recommend you go to it http://mymumthinksimcool.blogspot.com
I certantly think your pretty fly.

Anyway's here's three of my favourite song's from the blog. Also, it has been the inspiration of my new iTunes playlist 'let's roll a joint and get blazedd'

Technologic (Death to the Throne Remix) - Daft Punk

Oksaka Loop Line - Discovery

N.A.S.A. - Gifted (Treasure Fingers Remix)

Well, that's it from me guy's. Flip me off, stick it. Practise your hearts, yeah?
Bread.
p.s. Me and Butters are working on some exciting new features for the blog, so keep your eye's peeled guy's!

Extra! Extra! Hear All About It

Ok folks, the cabinet has voted and we have decided on dedicating Paint Valentine to Underage and All Age shows in Melbourne. But don't fear! This doesn't mean less music posts, it just means we'll be keeping you updated on shows around Melbourne. Dates will be up on the right column and we'll be doing our best to scope out everything there is.

Get A Mac

With the release of Itunes 9.0 I have recently decided to throw my computer out the window (not really, I love my macbook). It is *THE* most aesthetically displeasing media application I have ever laid eyes on. How the team at Apple somehow decided to ruin something so perfect and beautiful is beyond me. If not for the awesome new features such as "Home Sharing" I'd already be uninstalling the update. Hopefully Apple will release a an update in the future that will improve its current state or at least bring back the old scheme. Perhaps the "Mac Guy" should get a real job and learn some skills before he starts poking fun at the honest, hard working, diligent PC.

But enough about how my life is falling apart...

Here's a few that got me jiving during the English orals today (my constant table tapping and imaginary drumming did turn a few heads =p ).

Wheatus... Everyone knows Wheatus, the one hit wonders who played "Teenage Dirtbag".
Wheatus - LeRoy

Don't know too much about these studs except that I risked checking my iPod because I just *had* to see who was playing.
Straightaway - Democracy of Spreading Poverty

Last but not least, The Amity Afflction. I've seen these guys live twice and hopefully I'll be able to make it three next month.
The Amity Afflcition - Jesse Intense (feat. Michael Crafter)

Buttersticks, out.

"We're sitting ducks when we're standing on our own" - Sleep Well

It amazes me just how much some people can disappoint you. After a while, you'd think they'd learn, but most often, they don't. From afar you watch as their life spirals downwards, helpless to help them. They scream and they shout but when you offer them a hand, rejection is all you receive in return, pushing you to a point where you give up on them. Only then are they really a lost cause.

Au Revior, Monsieur

Wow, it's been a while seen I've posted, hasn't it? Don't worry though, during my break I've found some killer stuff you're bound to love.

First up, Passion Pit!
This Massachusetts' electronica band have really found "their" sound with their latest album, "Manners". I don't know what else to say about these guys except that they'll leave you satisfied and somewhat relaxed. These kids got me through 4 hours of intense programming last week and I'm still not sick of them! Perhaps, that might be saying something...

Passion Pit - Folds In Your Hands
Passion Pit - Little Secrets
Passion Pit - Let Your Love Grow Tall Secrets

Keeping with the electronic theme, next on the ranks is Art vs. Science, who will be making an appearance at Parklife this year. I'd pay my respects to these guys but sadly I'm not 18 and can't pass for being of age except when it comes to confratations with the elderly.

Here's what Triple J Unearthed had to say:
"There is a reason why night clubs play the music they do: it's the right tempo for dancing, it's got hook lines you can sing along to, and a beat steady enough hypnotise. Art vs. Science not only makes the sort of music played in nightclubs; it is one of the few outfits in Australia which can actually play in night clubs - live. No laptops, no backing tracks, just drums, keyboards, synths and three sets of funky hands. "An expression of their long immersion in the dark, seedy recesses of club-electronica", Art vs Science breathe fresh air into the genre, with an immediate, breath-taking live show, and songs that sound pleasing, joy-inducing; as if meticulously designed, element by element, to intensify user stimulation. Art vs. Science plays, people listen. And they *understand*."

Art vs. Science - Flippers
Art vs. Science - Parlez Vous Francais?

Hopefully I'll actually get some sleep tonight!

In The Meantime

Sorry for the complete lack of posts recently but I've been uber busy. So busy in fact that I stayed up all night Thursday and didn't get to bed until 7am the next morning, only to wake up about half an hour later. Still feeling the repercussions of that, but hey, I guess it's expected seeming it's only a day later haha.

More posts soon, but in the meantime you'll just have to do / put up with Bread's rubbish (just joking bud, your additions to this blog are more than welcome. Just don't forget to add band tags into the "Labels" section :) hehe )

They're Cominggg

Bread got into a private school today! Oh Boy! aha, not really actually. Well yes, I'm going to a selective private school, but I'm not excited about it.

You see, I'm amazing at procrastinating. It's really quiet depressing how off track I can get.
Like today, I had to do a bit of studying for a maths exam I have to do tomorrow. 3 minutes in, I'm trying to do back flips on a rental bed in my room. Damn, I've always wanted to do back flips of beds...

'Thought I'd satisfy you guys with some music from the good old land of England. "Enter Shikari" has been one of my favourite bands for a year. Trust me, that's saying something.

Enter Shikari - Gap in the Fence

Enter Shikari - Juggernauts

Anyways, I got a request from Bronte to put up an album by "Chiodos". I couldn't decide which one to put up, so I decided to go with both.

Chiodos - All's Well That End's Well + Bone Palace Ballet
Their definantly in my top 5 favorite albums list, fer suree.

That's it from me guys. Flip me off, put it together. Practise your heart's, yeah?

Bread.

P.S. It took a fucking long time to upload those albums Bronte. It better make your day the happiest day of your life. aha.

Oh the excitement.

Dem's back tomorrow! Hopefully she won't be royally pissed at me for not writing enough letters.

bread here.

Hi.

I've been invited to help with this blog from my personal blog, so be expecting post's from the almighty Bread-o-nator.

I've noticed that butter has been lacking music lately, due to his late-night curiosity in finding as much music as possible.

But don't worry! I've got about 18gb of internet! Wooo.
Let's start with some "Hellogoodbye". These guy's are easily my faviourte band at the moment.

Hellogoodbye - Touchdown Turn Around (Don't Give Up On Me)
This one's definantly one of my favorite's by these guy's.

Hellogoodbye - Two Weeks In Hawaii
Tried playing this one on guitar and failed miserably.

I'm a huge "Chiodos" fan and I just so happen to stumble upon acoustic versions of my 2 favourite songs. I nearly creamed myself.

Chiodos - Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute (Acoustic)
Catchy song, listen to the normal version first if you haven't heard it before.

Chiodos - Lindsay Quit Lollygaging (Acoustic)
Ahh how I love Chiodos. If you haven't heard of them before, do check them out, you won't regret it.

Well, that's it from me.
Flip me off, put it together, and if your as creative as me, you'll get a love heart! Hahaa.

Catch.
