Nothing new today guys, except I don't like my Geography teacher anymore and I want a nice new, grey, slim-fitting hoodie. Or maybe purple? Or Red... Or... Black. Hmmmm.

Hey guys, it seems I'm just full of videos today and I just can't help it. Since I'm so nice (not) I thought I'd share a few with you.
The first two are by Jet Lag Gemini (really worth a listen).
"XOXOXO" is quite a pumped up number and that is hectic from the start.
Two by The Rocket Summer, "Do You Feel", and an especially upbeat number, "So Much Love".
And to slow things down a bit, a cute goodbye called "BigCityDreams" by NeverShoutNever.

All Time Blow

I'm pretty sure I've officially quit World of Warcraft. Maybe it's because I have school, maybe it's because I'm playing lacrosse again, but whatever the reason is, I'm just too glad to have recovered from recent ailment. Now I have so much more time to waste on Myspace, Facebook, my synth, staring at the wall and more importantly, this blog! (that no one reads).

But.
Yeah.

Here's the new All Time Low video for "Weightless". I must warn you though, it's pretty captivating.

For All The Ladies Out There

Yeah, I LOL'd too.

You've seen them in their jocks, now prepare to be blown away buy their music. These Maryland Pop-Punk rockers certainly know how to blow your mind. I'm still regretting not buying tickets last month to see them on their Australian tour with Set Your Goals. Oh well, hopefully there will be a next time.

Poppin' Champagne - All Time Low

Oh yeah and here's a bunch of songs I was uploading for Demi to listen to on the bus to a secret undisclosed location. There were more in the playlist I made for her but she decided that she had to go to see Pink that night...

Just trawling through my old stuff from like year 7 when I stumbled across Secret Secret Dino Club. I just can't help but sway and bounce whenever their tunes come blaring out of my speakers. Although, having said said that, they are a bit of an acquired taste (even though Dot Com was a hit with the class).

...Or So They Say

Last night I stumbled across a few killer pop-rock bands; So They Say, Permanent Me, The Summer Obsession, June. All I can say is, GET THEIR STUFF.

Here's a few tracks, including a Silverstein number.

Parkway Drive

Parkway Drive are going to be teaming up with Architects next month to bring us "The DVD Tour". With supporting acts such as August Burns Red and, according to a friend, House vs Hurricane (gasp!). Sounds good yeah? It does but... I'm not sure if I'll have anyone to go with.
We'll see.

Btw I got those ear plugs and they worked a treat today, no ringing at all. Although, I must say, the Hi-Fi have got to turn it down a bit, I took out my buds during The Amity Affliction's set and I could actually hear what they were playing this time!

Loose Lips Sink Ships

Today was pretty alright, more than alright actually. Went down to the Corner Hotel in Richmond and saw Break Even, The Amity Affliction and Deez Nuts. Oh yeah and I met these two girls who were pretty cool, Eve and her twin sister who's name I have forgotten (sorry). Anyways, I got kicked out just as Amity finishing their set. Oh well I was right up there for all the good songs, and I got a shirt so I'm super ecstatic about that.

So you're probably wondering why I got thrown out, no? Well what happened is I went crowd surfing like a million times (it was wild) and apparently one of the security guys had given me a warning and threatened to throw me out if I did it again which is all bullshit, he never gave me a warning but oh well. So yeah I ended up missing Deez Nuts :(

Here's three Amity tracks that rocked my world today.

It's not funny :S

I have a friend.
A very good friend.
Who pressures me into things.
She's also quite scared of limewire.
So I have to download music for her.

Here's a song for her.
A Taking Back Sunday classic.

Let's Make Out

I'm sitting under my friend's shed at his garage sale trying to flog my irresistible soft toy collection to the strange kind of people who get up early enough to get up at this out (we started getting customers at around 8am). What's worse than getting up at an insanely early hour of the morning? Going to sleep only a few hours before. At the moment I've only made around $5.

Anywhoo, here's a nice little number by internet sensations Does It Offend You, Yeah?

Recently I was youtubing some footage from Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2, and it looks pretty damn good at the moment. I saw about three videos and they all looked incredible. But then something weird happened, everytime I clicked on another "COD6" clip, I'd get Rick-Rolled. Six times in a row it happened to me, six times!

5

At the supermarket yesterday, I was approached by a person trying to promote the new "5" gum range. I must say that gum has to be the best gum in the world, not only does it rock your world taste-wise but it also lasts for forever and a day. Seriously next time you're at the supermarket or you see this on a shelf somewhere, don't just walk past it, stand there and stare at it; can you really go on without it?

Donnie's On TV

Bronte and I went to a park yesterday with some friends of ours. First time we'd had some decent weather in a while. Having said that, no one could be bothered doing anything so we ended up grabbing some food, only to return to that secluded spot an hour later.

Soon enough we parted and my friend Michael and I went back to my place. We watched a movie, mucked around with my synth, and finally got to what we had been planning to do for a long time. We kept at it until the next morning until eventually he fell asleep and I had to continue on by myself. Yes, that's right, I'm talking about watching season 3 of How I Met Your Mother.

Here's another little compilation of songs I put together.

Another Playlist

One band I've included in the playlist is a Melbourne synthrock band called The Galvatrons. It continues to amaze me how heavily influenced their music is by 70's bands (Van Halen, Devo, Cheap Trick etc.) yet they only formed two years ago. Be sure to check them out.

Stay classy,

Save Me

It's been a while since I last posted, quite a while in fact. The good news is that I have quite a few new songs that I want to post. I also saw The Getaway Plan again on their second last show (they added two more). I had fun but it wasn't as good as the first one I went to, the mosh was pretty weak and the crowd was about half the size as it was last time. One good thing though was that my friend knew some people there so I had some friends in there.

Just like last time, my ears are still ringing. Apparently, my friend has ordered in some musicians earplugs so that should help in the future.

Today I hung out with my good friend Bronte. We spent some time in the city before trying to have a picnic and make some fairy bread. While looking for a nice spot, we stumbled upon the Sydney Meyer Music Bowl and sat down there. Soon enough we learnt that home brand bread *really* sucks and that there's a good reason most people don't use actual butter on their bread - it doesn't spread. We ended up just throwing sprinkles at each other.

Here's some tracks I put together for you, it's getting late so I won't bother writing anything about them

Ok people click here it's all in one big file! like 57MB or something :D

Oh btw, I'm making a move back to mediafire, so to download the songs hosted on "getdropbox" just right click and look for the save option that looks most sensible.
Peace,

Butters.

Ps. Yeah I was playing WoW :S

Thursday, July 2, 2009

I Don't Miss It... Ok.. I Do.

I have a confession to make; I used to play WoW. Yes yes it's true. It took over my life to the point where everyone hated me and I commited cyber-suicide (not really). Anyways... due to the holidays boredom, I have decided to start again.

The biggest problem with starting WoW is downloading all the patches. I woke up at 6 this morning and since then I've been downloading the patches at about 140 KB/s average and I've only just reached the "Frozen Throne" patches. The WoW folder takes up 14GB of space! It takes over your life and your computer :S

Do NOT play World of Warcraft.

Seriously.
